Assistant Chief Allen joined the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District in August 2021 where he began overseeing the EMS side of the department. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Saint Leo University in 2011, Assistant Chief Allen decided to explore the world of emergency medicine. He has been involved in emergency medicine since 2012 and continues to remain passionate about pre-hospital patient care. Assistant Chief Allen is working to get the department to become certified in ALS non-transport care to provide an even higher level of service to the community. He is currently working on his Masters in Emergency and Disaster Management and loves the small-town feel of not only the department but the community as a whole.
