MINUTES FOR THE FEBRUARY 22, 2008

COMMISSIONERS WORKSHOP MEETING

FOR THE MATLACHA/PINE ISLAND FIRE CONTROL DISTRICT

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 9:20 a.m.

Roll Call: Commissioners Cox, Cole, Elder, Cammick and Peckinpaugh were present.

Chief Bradley, Deputy Chief Marzella, Administrative Assistant Richter and Secretary Udart were present.

Workshop Business:

1. Firefighter Input – none reported.

2. Rescue Truck – Brief discussion about American LaFrance filing for bankruptcy and that our truck will not be built. Chief Bradley is waiting to receive information from E-One about similar trucks. The status and location of the Ford chassis will be researched.

3. Station 4 Property – The lot with the contract was purchased as directed by the Board. A list of costs for the appraisal of the remaining lots should be available by the end of March.

Commissioner Cammick moved to adjourn, with Commissioner Cox to second. The motion passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned 9:38 a.m.
