Notice of Meeting Dates
The Fire Board of the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District will hold Special Meetings with Budget and Regular Workshop Meetings to immediately follow and Regular General Business Meetings on the following dates and times at Fire Station 1, 5700 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, Florida.
July 7, 2008 Special/Budget & Regular Workshop at 1:00 P.M.
July 23, 2008, Regular General at 5:00 P.M.
July 28, 2008, Special/Budget & Regular Workshop at 9:00 A.M.
August 25, 2008, Special/Budget & Regular Workshop at 9:00 A.M.
August 27, 2008, Regular General at 5:00 P.M.
September 8, 2008, Budget Workshop at 9:00 A.M.
September 24, 2008, Regular General at 5:15 P.M.
September 29, 2008, Special & Regular Workshop at 9:00 A.M.
The purpose of each of the Special Meetings is to discuss and consider construction- related issues pertaining to Lodge Construction projects (Station 1,3 & 4) and, to consider their project payments. At these meetings the board may take formal action.
The purpose of the Budget/Regular Workshop Meetings is to discuss 2008-2009 Budget and general business as provided in agendas for the meetings. The board will not take formal action at these workshops.
The purpose of the Regular General Business Meetings is for the board to certify all bills to be paid, and take care of any other business that may come before it.
The public is invited and urged to attend all meetings.
Any physically-challenged person requiring auxiliary aids
and services for the meeting is requested to contact the office of the Fire
If a person decides
to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to
any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record
of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure
that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the
testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
